This original design comes from the iconic skyscrapers of New York City.

It is composed of a series of black glass cylinders of graduating heights and widths which mimic the set-backs of our city’s Art Deco era buildings.

While we have only made this lamp in Black, it could be made in any of the colors we work with.

Inspired by candlesticks of bygone times, the Canna Candela lamp employs the technique of hand-pulled custom colored glass cane in the Venetian style. Delicate rods of glass are pulled like taffy, then cooled and cut to size. They are gathered up and blown out keeping the hot glass bone straight while creating the fluid yet precise Canna Candela shape. Exquisite craftsmanship makes this seemingly simple lamp look easy.  But close inspection reveals a sheer veil of color wrapping the taught vertical canes exposing an elaborate multi-step, technical process. Hardware comes plated in nickel, but a range of metal finish options are available.

Smoked Quartz 

Lanterna Vases are inspired by Japanese lanterns. A Persimmon or Smokey Quartz glass is hot gilded with 18k gold leaf then blown into an ribbed mold to create a gilded ribbed glass form. The resulting vase is an elegant stand alone decoration for the table or a lovely vase for displaying flowers. The vases come in two sizes: Medium and Large and are nicest shown in a grouping.

Canary 

The Ombre Bollo series of lamps presents the Venetian glass technique of Sommerso. Sommerso, the submerging a colored bubble into a thick envelope of clear glass has been a staple of select glassmakers of Murano for nearly a century. But this is the first time that we know of for it to be used for lamp making.

Our Ombre Bollo Lamp fuses the two forms, creating an illuminated Sommerso glass. The Canary color is a transparent sunny yellow, while the Steel and Champagne Frost lamps employ sandblasting to soften the exterior surface of the glass obscuring the interior with a frosted effect. Hardware comes plated in nickel, but a range of metal finish options are available.

A fully bespoke sconce, the Chiaro boasts a hand brushed and patinated back plate adorned with the signature hot gilded Alabaster White glass globe.

The Chairo e Scuro sconce can be used as a complementary lighting fixture to the Otto Luce chandelier or a can be used on its own.  It can be customized with any metal finish or glass color or technique that we offer.  Shown in white with gold leaf.

Ruby 

Our Sommerso vase is inspired by the work of the venerable House of Seguso, the oldest continually operating family glass factory in Murano, founded in 1397. We have taken the more usual organic Sommerso shape and straightened it up, creating a crisp exterior envelope with a sinuous jewel toned bubble inside.
